How to Register a Software House in Pakistan
It is optional to register an IT company with PSEB. However, every IT company needs to become a member of the Pakistan Software Export Board in order to receive the exclusive benefits of PSEB membership. Without the PSEB’s registration, call centers in Pakistan are unable to lawfully function. Every principal office and all pertinent branches that interact with the Principle Place are required to register. Legal action is taken by the PTA and FIA against call centers operating in Pakistan if they are not registered with the PSEB.
SECP Company Registration Process
Step-1: Name Reservation
In order to reserve a name for a company, the first step is to select a name that is distinct from all other company names.
Step-2: Preparation of Documents
The preparation of corporate legal papers is the second stage of business registration. These include:
- Memorandum of Association
- Articles of Association
- Forms
Step-3: Fees and Certificate of Incorporation
The final step is to deposit the fee, which can be done at specific UBL and MCB branches. If SECP officials deem the company’s legal documentation to be satisfactory, an incorporation certificate is subsequently granted. If an SECP officer makes an observation, it must be disregarded.
PSEB Company Registration Process
Fill out the online registration form on the PSEB website with the necessary details, such as the services offered, the number of personnel with the appropriate titles, the business address, etc. Once the needed information has been entered, the form is submitted to PSEB for review along with the registration-related papers. If there are no objections, registration is finished and the certificate is sent to the mailing address listed on the application.
Registration Charges
The entire process of registration is flat and transparent with justified pricing according to your business needs. To register your IT company with the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), we have mentioned the charges here:
- Startups only with less than a year standing = PKR 5,000/-
- Companies having more than one year experience = PKR 10,000/-
